Life Events and Your Bank Accounts

Many events of life are celebrated. Some are muddled through. Whether your latest development is as exciting as a wedding or new baby or as challenging as a move or divorce, we can make it go more smoothly.

Opening a New Account

Life Event: Moving from another bank, opening an account for your new baby.

What do you need?

  • Current picture ID such as a valid driver's license or state ID with current address
  • OR a valid current United States issued passport
  • Date of Birth
  • Current mailing and physical address
  • And other information that will allow us to identify you
Changing Name/Adding a Name to an Existing Account

Life Event: Marriage, Divorce, Changing to a joint account

What do you need?

  • Proof of new name (divorce decree, marriage license, updated ID or license and updated social security card)

When adding a name to an account, the person joining the account must show proof as if they are opening a new account (above). Both parties must complete the change. You must come into the branch to authorize these types of changes.
